Steel and stainless steel grits

Kematechnik Innomontage Kft distributes the products of W Abrasives, world leader in grit materials manufacturing!

Why are W Abrasives blasting materials so unique?

W Abrasives offers innovative and environment friendly solutions tailored to the customer's needs. We do our best to meet the needs and expectations of our partners at the highest level by asking the right questions.

Standard grits:

Rounded steel shot (ball):

Moulded and tempered, it is a spherical product of hypereutectoid steel (C ≥ 0.85%). Perfectly controlled heat treatments provide it with optimum resilience and resistance to fatigue. This type of shot is used in all applications where the desired effect is ensured by the mass and energy of the shot.

Sharp, angular grit

A cast steel angular grit is produced by crushing and specially heat treating oversize shots.

GP steel grit structure:

Quenched and tempered, angular when new, this grit rapidly rounds off in use. It is used with wheel blasters for cleaning and surface preparation.

GL steel grit structure:

Quenched and tempered, although harder than GP steel grit, GL also loses its sharp edges during shot blasting.

GH steel grit structure:

Quenched for maximum hardness, GH steel grits always remain angular while used, and they break retaining angles. These blasting materials are particularly effective in surface treatment processes producing a uniform, homogeneous finish. They are designed for use mainly with compressed air equipment.

Special grits:

STELUX: Stainless steel shots

STELUX is for surface cleaning, preparation and finishing of precious metals, stainless steel castings or forgings, as well as granite and marble.

SP Shot - ShotPining: Refined round shot

Cast steel shots for peening aeronautical parts

Chilled Iron: Cast iron grits

Cast iron grits for surface preparation

Cut Wire: Cut wire pieces

Used primarily in surface treatment (applications). (Automotive & trucks, oil & gas, general industry, aerospace)

Premium abrasives:

Profilium: Extremely hard steel grit

Specially developed for compressed air systems. Premium abrasive mix for surface preparation, it provides an even and homogeneous surface.

HPG: High productivity steel grits

It is specially designed to improve the finish of castings and forgings. It is also suitable for removing and cleaning sands, resins or scale.

Hybrid Shot: A mix of spherical and elliptical grits

It is used in foundries and cleaning forgings.
